Mai Elwy is a Counseling Psychologist and Psychotherapist with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The American University in Cairo. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Existential Psychotherapy at NSPC London. In 2015, she founded Raising Happy, offering mental health services, and she also teaches psychology at The American University in Cairo.

Mai works with adults and families on a wide range of psychological, emotional, and family issues, including stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, grief, and relationship problems. She has been hired by organizations such as UNICEF, Vodafone Egypt, and Honeywell as a therapist, trainer, and mental health expert.

Mai has also contributed to national awareness campaigns focused on mental health issues like positive parenting, bullying, and violence against children.
