Dr. Srinath Srinivasa heads the Web Science Lab at the International Institute of Information Technology – Bangalore (IIITB), India. He holds a Ph.D. (magna cum laude) from the Berlin Brandenburg Graduate School for Distributed Information Systems, Germany, an M.S. (by Research) from IIT Madras, and a B.E. in Computer Science from NIE Mysore. His research focuses on Web Science, exploring how the WWW and AI impact humanity.

He has contributed to technology-enhanced education through initiatives like Edusat, NPTEL, and IIITB’s outreach with Upgrad. He has served on academic boards of Goa University, Christ University, and NIE, and reviewed for top journals including VLDB and IEEE TKDE.

Recipient of grants from EU Horizon 2020, Royal Academy of Engineering, and others, he has also advised national and state committees on AI, data, and smart city initiatives.
