Dr. Rupinder Kaur Kanwar is a globally recognized translational biomedical scientist with over 27 years of excellence in research, education, and innovation. She earned her PhD from PGIMER, India, and began her international academic journey at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has held senior leadership roles at globally renowned institutions, including Deakin University, Australia, where she received the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Award (2013) for outstanding contributions.

Currently, Dr. Kanwar serves as Additional Professor and Head of Translational Medicine at AIIMS Bhopal, leading India’s first MSc program in Translational Medicine. She specializes in cancer nanomedicine, drug discovery for cardiology and chronic inflammatory diseases, tissue engineering, and regenerative therapeutics, with 300+ research outcomes, 24 patents, and 133 high-impact publications.

Honored as Wiley’s “Most WIdely Read Author” (Cancer Medicine 2024) and recipient of multiple awards, Dr. Kanwar has mentored 45+ PhD students and 13 post-doctoral fellows. Her visionary leadership continues to inspire innovation and the next generation of scientists.
