Dr. Arun Oommen is the Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon based in Kochi and the Honorary Secretary of the Neurological Society of India (Kerala Chapter). He completed more than 4000 complicated brain and spine surgery and is one of the few Neurosurgeons in India having expertise in Endoscopic brain surgeries and Brainstem surgeries. He is the First neurosurgeons in India acquiring a Doctorate in Hospital administration. He has multiple fellowships and four honorary doctorates to his credit. He has published more that 300 health related articles and Research publications in various Magazines and Journals. He is the Managing Trustee of an NGO that gives free food daily to 1500 destitutes. He is active in the welfare of Autistic kids, paraplegics rehabilitation programmes. He is a regular blood donor and completed 70 blood donations. He has given certified courses to 12000+ Individuals in 20 different life saving skill through Project Samaritan.
