Dr. Moses S. Dixon, PhD, is a passionate leader, scholar, and advocate dedicated to reimagining aging and caregiving for a changing world. Since 2019, he has served as President & CEO of Senior Connection (formerly the Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging), where he has championed innovative, inclusive approaches that empower older adults and strengthen intergenerational bonds.
Dr. Dixon’s academic and professional journey reflects a rare blend of global vision and local action. He holds a PhD in Community and Public Affairs from SUNY Binghamton, an MMSc in Global Health Delivery from Harvard Medical School, a Master’s in Community Development and Planning from Clark University, and a BA in Political Science from Howard University. His scholarship and practice emphasize health equity, cultural responsiveness, and the transformative power of social medicine.
Early in his career, he gained invaluable policy experience as a legislative fellow for U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid, shaping his belief that bold, compassionate leadership can transform lives. He later turned that conviction into action, designing programs that bring dignity and connection to communities too often left behind.
At Senior Connection, Dr. Dixon has spearheaded bold initiatives such as the Mobile Care Express bus, which brings vital services directly to older adults, expanding access to health care, nutrition, and community resources. This innovative model of care on wheels reflects his commitment to breaking down barriers and ensuring that aging populations thrive, no matter their circumstances.
In 2024, he was selected as a Presidential Leadership Scholar, joining a distinguished network of leaders committed to addressing society’s most pressing challenges. Most recently, under his guidance, Senior Connection was honored as Runner-Up for the 2025 John A. Hartford Foundation Business Innovation Award, a national recognition of its excellence in advancing healthy aging.
Guided by compassion and vision, Dr. Dixon continues to build bridges between policy, health, and community shaping a future where aging is not only supported but celebrated.
