Amit Shivpuja is a strategic data executive with over two decades of experience driving AI-powered transformations across industries including retail, fintech, automotive, utilities, and VR/AR. Currently serving as Director of Data Product, Governance, and Strategy at Walmart, Amit leads a global team delivering enterprise-wide data maturity and governance frameworks that have unlocked billions in quarterly business value. His pioneering work in Generative and Agentic AI has significantly advanced data stewardship, automation, and self-service capabilities.
Amit’s global career journey spans leadership roles at BILL, Bluevine, HTC, Deloitte, Alteryx, and Bosch where he built and scaled high-performing analytics teams, architected robust data infrastructures, and led compliance initiatives across GDPR, CCPA, and financial regulations. His thought leadership is widely recognized through numerous publications and speaking engagements on AI governance, data strategy, and organizational transformation.
He holds an MBA from UC Irvine, a Bachelor’s in Information Science Engineering, and executive certifications from Stanford GSB and UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business in AI and leadership.
